Marist College RFI is available!

February 8, 2012

The Marist College building is the only three-story adobe building in Southern Arizona, and was the first integrated school in Tucson. We are circulating a Request for Interest to possible developers/end users of the property which is ideal for a boutique hotel — or any other creative use!

The Marist College is profiled in Sunday’s AZ Daily Star (http://azstarnet.com/news/local/govt-and-politics/as-fixer-upper-historic-marist-college-has-upsides/article_9de8ecd2-34c6-519e-a5c7-0df17d443434.html) as well as on the Downtown Tucson website (http://www.downtowntucson.org/2012/02/marist-college-building-looks-for-redevelopment-ideas/).

The RFI is posted on our web site: http://www.downtowntucson.org/invest/opportunities/

And Arizona Public Media has broadcast a piece on the history of the building — http://www.azpm.org/arts-and-life/story/2011/10/20/1830-history-moment-tucsons-marist-college/

Deadline for submitting a proposal is March 14, 2012. Contact Pam Sutherland at econdev@downtowntucson.org for further questions.
