First Fridays Dishes Salsa Dancing

April 2, 2012

The Tucson Young Professional’s will be turning up the Latin heat with dinner & dancing at the April 6 First Fridays event.
The festivities start at 7:30 p.m. at the Tucson Museum of Art, 140 North Main Avenue.

Attendees can enjoy a savory menu of spicy Latin cuisine from Café a la Cart and feel the tropical beat as DJ Soo mixes music.

Shall We Dance instructors will be on hand teaching salsa dancing.

As always, the Tucson Museum of Art graciously opens its exhibit doors for First Fridays, this month featuring Frida’s Style: Traditional Women’s Costumes from Mexico with beautiful textiles and examples of the jewelry and traditional costumes favored by Frida Kahlo.

First Fridays events are a place for Tucson’s young professional crowd to gather together and simultaneously enjoy local art, music and food.  Each event provides an opportunity for its patrons to leave their casual-wear at home, don more formal apparel, and delight in various local talents.

Advance tickets are $15 until April 5 and are available online here. Admission at the door is $20.
