2nd Saturdays Introduces New Kids Area
2nd Saturdays introduces a new Fire Truck Adventure Zone kids area at the next Downtown urban festival on September 8.
The kids’ area beckons to kids of all ages with a 40-by-20-foot firefighter obstacle adventure bounce house – the largest in Tucson. There will also be a fully functional fire truck with firefighters in uniform for the kids’ excitement.
Kids can explore the fire truck and get their pictures taken to mark the experience. Also in the kids’ area, the “PG” rated movie “Night at the Museum” will be shown starting at 7 p.m.
The bounce house, the fire truck with photographs for children and the movie are free. Another new addition to the kids’ area is The Great American Zap Show, an attraction for people of all ages, also free.
2nd Saturdays will remain the same as the June, July and August events with the kids’ area in the parking lot of Providence Service Corp., 64 E. Broadway.
Scott Avenue will be closed from Congress to Jackson Street, just south of Broadway, for the event. The KIIM/KHIT Scott Avenue stage will be on the north end of Scott at Congress Street.
