Perhaps we need to be thinking of “Leading-Edge Boomer” Housing Downtown?

Growing older does not just entail becoming a “senior” any more.  Those born between 1946 and 1964 are “leading-edge boomers” and are experiencing “adulthood II” with new careers, new loves, and new lifestyles including Downtown living.  The “silent generation” — those now between ages 67 and early 80s — also want the community and independent living options found in college towns and downtowns.  Neither group wants to live in an institutional setting.
