Streetcar Corridor Planning/Zoning Meetings

December 28, 2012

Pima Association of Governments and the City of Tucson are conducting charrettes for the Streetcar Land Use and Development Implementation Plan. The plan will involve a study of existing and future conditions, the creation of a vision involving community input,  and ultimately a set of recommended actions for Mayor and Council to consider.

The charrette will be run by Poster Frost Mirto and The Planning Center, the City’s consultants.   This event is the beginning of an approximate year and a half effort to create a vision for land use and design choices along the modern streetcar route’s 3.9 miles.  The public is invited to attend and make comments.  Dates of meetings are January 14-19, 2013.
