2nd Saturdays Welcomes the New Year
January 9, 2013
On Jan. 12, 2nd Saturdays will be rockin’ Scott Avenue from the stage at Congress Street to the Fire Truck Adventure Zone Kids’ area at Jackson Street.
2nd Saturdays runs from 5 to 10 p.m.
Scott Avenue and Jackson Street will be closed to vehicle traffic and both streets will be lined with vendors, food trucks and street performers.
FC Tucson Soccer hosts street soccer right on Jackson at Stone Avenue from 5 to 10 p.m. and everyone is urged to play. It’s a slower game than you are used to, so why not bring the kids and let them try it out?
This month the free flicks in the kids’ area are several Looney Tunes shown for kids of all ages.
The inflatables and fire truck are back for the kids to explore free of charge.
Much more progress has been made in the construction on Congress so its very easy to walk about, check out your favorite shops and find your favorite restaurant or cocktail spot.
