Sensational New Summer Menu Items at DOWNTOWN Kitchen + Cocktails
July 1, 2013
Just because it’s hot, doesn’t mean you can’t eat cool food. At least not at DOWNTOWN Kitchen + Cocktails where Salmon Swims Thru Summer, Shrimp has a Sense of Place and Heirloom Tomatoes Pair with Papparadelle, Pesto, Prosciutto di Parma and Grana Padano.
Right now, the DTK+C gardens outside the restaurant and at the Children’s Museum of Tucson are at their peak. Basil is prolific, tomatoes are ripening, chives are lush, the corn is getting tall, mint is cool and refreshing, chard is leafing out, thyme and sage are fragrant and the flowers are beautiful. Combine the garden produce with a shipment of non-GMO field corn for freshly ground masa, delicious sustainably raised salmon, and succulent shrimp and you have the makings of a scintillating summer menu.
To make summer delicious, these summer dishes go on the menu at DOWNTOWN Kitchen + Cocktails on Tuesday, July 2, 2012:
