TPAC Training Provides Artists with Tips & Tricks to Get Funding
July 19, 2013
Many artists often wonder if there is a “magic trick” is to writing a competitive grant proposal to help fund their project ideas. Even more daunting perhaps is the prospect of making a presentation of one’s artwork before a grants panel.
The Tucson Pima Arts Council is pleased to announce that it is partnering with the Arizona Commission on the Arts to provide individual artists a day’s worth of professional development opportunities, aimed at helping artists to strengthen their grant-writing and presentation skills.
In the morning, artists who sign up will have the chance to review their proposal ideas in one-on-one consultations at Sparkroot Café with Jessica Rajko, Artist Services Coordinator for the Arizona Commission on the Arts.
Afternoon sessions will be led by Jessica and by Leia Maahs, TPAC Grants Manager. Topics will address how to write competitive grants, work sample “do’s and don’ts” and upcoming artist opportunities for Tucson-Pima artists.
As seating is limited, reservations are required. Registrations can be made online here.
