“The Beer-Flavored Art Show” Celebrates Tucson’s Growing Craft Beer Culture with Art Events at Two Downtown Breweries.

September 3, 2013

ArtofBeerBrewing beer is an art. It makes perfect sense to produce an art show that celebrates the art of brewing.

This show isn’t about high-minded art concepts, just an art show all about the love of beer and beer culture. Opening night is September 14, to coincide with Second Saturdays. The show will be held simultaneously at Borderlands Brewing Company and Thunder Canyon Brewery.

“The Beer-Flavored Art Show” features work by Joe Pagac, Joe Marshall, and Matt McCoy, among others. Beer specials are available at both locations to commemorate the event, and each event site has exclusive incentives to encourage visits to both locations. A portion of proceeds will go to support Tu Nidito. The event is free to attend.

As show director Nathan Saxton puts it, “If you ever have a chance to meet a brewer, you will find them to be part scientist, part foodie, part artist, and 100% passionate about their craft. This show is our homage to brewers everywhere.”
