It’s all about beer this week in Arizona, and Tucson is having its own celebration this Saturday with the inaugural Tucson Craft Beer Crawl. Seven Downtown venues will serve up beer from 15 Arizona breweries. The crawl kicks off Sunday Feb. 21 at 11:45 a.m. at the Connect Coworking space at 33 South 5th Avenue, so make sure to have had your Wheaties and get ready to step up your beer game!

The early bird always catches the worm, so if you want to save a couple of bucks, you can buy your tickets early online here for $38. Tickets at the door will be $45, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Watershed Management Group, a non-profit that is dedicated to developing “community-based solutions to ensure the long-term prosperity of people and health of the environment.” The golden ticket gets you 20 drink tickets, a 5 ounce sampling glass and what will basically be a beer treasure map that will outline the travels of your Downtown beer adventure.

The seven venues (Hotel Congress, R Bar, Thunder Canyon Brewery, Playground, Pueblo Vida, Tap & Bottle and Borderlands Brewery) are all in walking distance, which will make for an easy crawl for all of you worried about putting in the legwork.

If you’re a serious craft beer drinker and looking to put in some prep work, check out some of these Downtown events happening all this week in honor of Arizona Beer Week:

R Bar bar manager Rory O'Rear tends to his domain. 18-20 hours days have not been uncommon leading up to R Bar's opening, which O'Rear likened to a film project or any other creative endeavor with a lot of moving parts.
