Tucson Craft Beer Gets Tastier with New Downtown Brewery Tour

April 7, 2015

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERAIn the last few years, Tucson’s local craft beer and brewery scene has exploded with growth, resulting in several breweries opening just within pedaling distance from one another in the Downtown area.

But unlike other major cities crammed with tasty beer offerings, nobody has offered a regular brewery tour in Tucson yet.

So for Robert Mayer, owner of the Arizona Party Bike tour company, starting a local craft brewery tour that showcases Downtown Tucson is a no-brainer.

“I’ve heard over and over from the tourism industry, including Visit Tucson and the resorts, that people are always asking about where they can try local beers,” said Mayer. “The craft beer tour on the party bike will give the people what they want and will be another great reason for locals and tourists alike to come Downtown.”

craftbeertour2Each brewery tour will be all-inclusive with two large samplers at each stop, and participants will learn about each of the breweries, their history, the owners, and the beer they make.

The two-hour tour will highlight three of six Downtown area breweries and taprooms on a given ride, including Gentle Ben’s Brewing Co, Tap & Bottle, Ermanos, Borderlands Brewing Co., Pueblo Vida Brewing Co., and Thunder Canyon Brewing.

The all-inclusive ticket price will be $39/person, which includes samplers, tax and gratuities, and transportation provided on the ridiculously fun Arizona Party Bike. Tour times will be at 2pm on Saturdays and 6pm on Wednesdays, to be expanded as demand grows.
