Bohemia

Now showing creations of over 120 local artists and craftspeople including Sally Krommes, Gavin Troy, Catherine Eyde, Anne Molina Gross, Ned Egen, Luon St. Pierre, Dee Dee Koenen, Charles Tearney and Daria of My-Dar.  The eclectic collection features jewelry, ceramics, metalwork, collage, stained and fused glass, wood sculpture, art furniture, paintings, photography, fabric art and more on display in the unique warehouse gallery and garden.  Shows are on-going and always evolving.  Please call for more details.

Davis Dominguez Gallery

154 E. 6th St., 629-9759. Hours: Tuesday-Friday, 10:00am to 5:00pm and Saturday, 10:00am to 5:00pm. Opening Saturday, January 3 and continuing through Saturday, February 7 is Duncan Martin’s “Color and Shadow: Paintings of the Southwest,” and new sculptures by Katja Fritzsche called “Beasts in Bronze.” Public closing reception is Saturday, February 7.

Dinnerware Contemporary Art Gallery

The Drawing Studio

“Sacred Space & Mask” at Muse

MUSE, Tucson’s Home for the Arts

From Friday, January 9 through Saturday, February 7 is “Sacred Space and Mask.” The joint exhibit will feature mask artist and choreographer Lauren Raine, and papermaker, printmaker, and installation artist Catherine Nash. Opening reception is Friday, January 9 at 7:00pm and an artists’ talk is scheduled for Thursday, January 14 at 7:00pm.

Phantom Front Gallery

624-9977. Shinsuke Higuchi’s large, vibrant, abstract paintings, opens Thursday, January 15 and runs through Monday, March 15. The work can be viewed through the windows of the old Thrifty building on Congress Street between Scott Street and Stone Avenue. Raices Taller 222 Art Gallery

Continuing through January 10 is “The Power of One,” a culturally diverse exhibition, celebrating the creativity of 10 of Southern Arizona’s most unique artists. Opening January 17 and running through February 21 is Gonzalo Espinosa’s exhibit “Monotipias Monópteros Mónicas. The mixed-media exhibit will also celebrate his 30 years in the world of fine arts, and the opening night reception, at 7:00pm on January 17, is the artist’s 50th birthday.

3Falk Gallery - Contemporary Art

The Modern Hand
