Bohemia

Gallery features gifts, goods and works of art created locally, showcased in a unique indoor and outdoor setting. On Friday, November 21, Bohemia will host an evening with local band Scoot.  Reception and show begins at 8:00pm. 

Davis Dominguez Gallery

Running through November 15 is “Erotica” - Etchings by Andrew Rush in conjunction with his print retrospective at the UA Museum of Art and “Invisible Illusions” - Paintings by Will Bonner in the continuing “New Artist” series.

Dinnerware Contemporary Art Gallery

Opening November 26 and running through December 20 is “Introductions,” featuring Monika Dalkin’s ceramics and prints, and the photography of Janett Spittel and Jeremy Dyer.

The Drawing Studio

Etherton Gallery

Continuing through Saturday, November 8 is “Firsthand: Evocations of Figure and Form.” Starting November 11 and continuing through January 3 is “Between Worlds: Works on Paper by Bailey Doogan, Jim Davis, and Daniel Martin Diaz.” Opening reception is Saturday, November 15, 7:00pm-10:00pm.

Gallery in Hotel Congress

In the lobby and the Cup Café at Hotel Congress, 311 E. Congress St., 622-8848. Hours: daily, all day. Opening Saturday, November 8 and running through December 17 is an exhibition of new work by Tucson artist Donovan White. Recently represented in the 2003 Arizona Biennial, White’s cartoon-like illustrations and paintings will be on display. The reception is opening night from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, featuring the musical styling of DJ Ty.

Joseph Gross and Lionel Rombach Galleries

Phantom Front Gallery

624-9977. Running through December is Kenneth Armstrong’s metal-on-metal steel and laser light artwork. The work can be viewed through the windows of the old Thrifty building on Congress Street between Scott Avenue and Stone Avenue. A reception will be held on November 7 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at 4 E. Congress. The Phantom Front Gallery is coordinated by the Tucson Arts District Partnership. For more information on this program call 624-9977.

Raices Taller 222 Art Gallery

222 E. 6th St., 881-5335. Hours: Friday and Saturday, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm and by appointment. Running from Saturday, November 1 through Saturday, November 29 is the “Dia de los Muertos” exhibition. Opening receptions are scheduled for Saturday, November 1 (6:00pm-10:00pm) and Sunday, November 2 (5:00pm-8:00pm). Both nights include children art activities, music and other celebratory fun.

Saguaro Artisans

215 N. Court, 792-3466. Hours: Mondays to Saturdays 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, and Sunday 10:30am to 5:00pm. Through November, the gallery will feature hand painted replica petroglyphs on rocks plus unusual rock garden sculptures by Scott Blodgett.

The Shane House

3Falk Gallery - Contemporary Art

The Modern Hand

Through November 21, the gallery will be showing paintings and ceramic sculptures by Tucson artist Eleanor Kohloss and paper cuts by Rick Jones from Redwood City, CA. Starting November 23 and running through January 15 are ceramics by Maurice Grossman and Joni Pezarnik, pastels by Laurel Hansen and paintings by Bob Bergier.

Tucson Arts District Partnership Phantom Gallery

Running through November 17 is “Prints of the Mythic West.”  This exhibit “highlights the graphic work of Lon Megargee, Arizona’s original cowboy artist.  His archetypal images of the West remain part of the standard recipe of novels, movies, and tourist attractions.”

WomanKraft Art Gallery

388 S. Stone Ave., 629-9976. Hours: Tuesday- Saturday, 1:00pm to 5:00 pm. Local artists offer affordable and unique creations in all mediums at the “Holiday Bazaar,” with an opening night reception Saturday November 1, 7:00pm to 10:00pm.

Zoe Boutique

735 N. 4th Ave., 740-1201. Hours: Monday-Saturday, 11:00am to 7:00pm. Continuing through November 30 K Bear Koss’ show CONTEXT. This new series of paintings is directly influenced by Koss’ experiences in Mongolia, a place where Old Russian technology was slowly collapsing much as his hometown had been.
