Playground Games – think Speed-networking meets Shark Tank, with an academic spin! UA faculty, in teams of four, meet for the first time to plan and pitch a project to a panel of judges and a live audience for the chance to win $1,500 in start-up funds. The goal is for the projects to take an interdisciplinary approach in addressing the theme “Sense of Place: Creatively Shaping Our Community,” through the lens of arts, humanities, and social sciences.
The rooftop of Playground Bar & Lounge has a beautiful backdrop of Downtown Tucson, and you can expect a cozy, warm, and intimate atmosphere. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
Free and open to the public. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Call 621-0599 with any questions or visit Confluencenter.org. Public seating is limited, so RSVP online today at goo.gl/ao6eQk
This event is produced by UA’s Confluencenter for Creative Inquiry – a center that serves scholars in the Colleges of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences; supports creative, collaborative research and shares it with the community.
