The Jim Howell Band

Silver Clouds, released on December 1, 2015 is the debut original album from The Jim Howell Band. Silver Clouds fits somewhere between the Honky-Tonk classics of Nashville, the Outlaw ‘70’s movement and the current singer songwriter influx of Texas Country and Americana that is teeming the country music underground of today. For the live shows the versatile multi-instrumentalist performer and singer/songwriter, Jim Howell, ably drives the band on guitar, harmonica and lead vocals. Jim is known as an award winning sideman on drums, and other instruments, for many local, regional , national and international touring acts including REY, The Mission Creeps, The Wyatts, Rich Hopkins & Luminarios, and Truck. In this excursion, he fuels his own brand of Arizona & Texas flavored country with the power of soul and the gears of rock. While steeped in the arid desert sounds of his native Tucson, the band’s sound road-trips to the humid sounds of Memphis, Motown, Nashville, Bakersfield, New Orleans, and Austin. The Jim Howell Band is also anchored by guitar wizard Loren Dircks (Gila Bend) and regularly includes drummer Sean McCann and Mike Santander on bass. Occasional live guests include Tim Gallagher on pedal steel and Bill Elm on lap steel and keys. Keep your eyes on the road for a performance near you in 2016.

Band of Angels
Set time – 7pm-8:15pm

“Darkly elegant, gorgeously heart wrenching and emotionally raw, Band of Angels features the music of singer/songwriter/guitarist Joe Peña, bassist Liza Byrne, drummer Van Christian and multi-instrumentalist Bill Elm. This powerhouse of musicians navigates Peña’s gripping tunes of regret, redemption and destruction.”
