4th Annual Desert Foods Festival
November 5 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm| Free
The Garden Kitchen will be hosting their 4th Annual Desert Foods Festival, a free celebration of our local food system! Join us Saturday November 5th, from 10am to 2pm for food demonstrations and tastings that feature wild and cultivated foods native to the Southwest.
Watch us create delicious, healthy meals using ingredients such as cholla buds, tepary beans, nopales, mesquite flour, and prickly pear fruit! Community partners will feature a variety of activities and information on native foods. Create origami from recycled seed packets with NativeSeeds/SEARCH, learn basket weaving with TOCA, salsa with Ritmos Latinos dance club, or take a tour of our beautiful garden. Stop in for a day of food, fun, and healthy activities at The Garden Kitchen!
