A Dreary, Bleak, Desolate Place: Tucson’s Abandoned Cemeteries
October 31, 2015 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm| $5
Over the last 250 years, Tucson has seen five cemeteries used and abandoned. Today these cemeteries lie beneath the homes, businesses, and government buildings of downtown Tucson. The stories of these cemeteries and some of the people who were buried in them will be discussed in this illustrated lecture by archaeologist Homer Thiel. The lecture is presented by the Presidio San Agustin del Tucson, but it will be held across the street at the Dusty Monk Pub at La Cocina. Cost for the lecture is $5 at the door. Food and drink will be available for sale. www.TucsonPresidio.com, 520-837-8119
