Arizona Statehood Day at the Presidio

On February 14th, 1912 Arizona became a State and part of the Union.
The Presidio celebrates State history today with a variety of characters
and costumes celebrating different periods of our rich history. Enjoy 19th
century musical entertainment by the Spencer and Jackson Traveling
Theatrical Troupe, Lady Della’s Traveling Faro Game, (try and buck the
tiger!), see an army saddle and an 1872 Springfield rifle. Our regular
Living History interpreters will also demonstrate daily life skills in the
Presidio including spinning and weaving, blacksmithing, soldiers firing
muskets and the cannon! Come walk through history with us!
