Art Safari Expo
Tucson’s premier gallery association hosts its 12th annual mid-season event, THE ART SAFARI, at a dozen gallery locations in the Greater Downtown area. Contemporary artwork in all media by local, regional, national and international players will be presented, including paintings, sculpture, photography, watercolors, original prints and drawings, the studio arts (fiber, glass, wood, metal, clay, etc.) and unique objects d’art .
ART SAFARI is a family-friendly celebration of the diverse culture of the Old Pueblo, expressed through the contemporary fine arts. Participating galleries will be open during the day and host evening receptions starting at 6:00 PM and lasting to 8:00, 9:00 or 10:00 PM, depending on location. Many of Tucson’s artists will be attending the gala event.
All events are free and refreshments will be served at some receptions. Maps of the galleries and a poster announcing the ART SAFARI are available at Metropolitan Tucson Convention and Visitors Bureau 100 S. Church Ave., Tucson-Pima Arts Council 100 N Stone, Tucson Museum of Art 140 N. Main Ave., Downtown Tucson Partnership 110 E. Pennington St. and at all Central Tucson Gallery Association members.
