First Fridays: Goldie Richmond Quilt Celebration
August 5 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm| $3
Goldie Tracy Richmond, a prize-winning quilt maker, operated a trading post on the Tohono O’Odham Reservation in the 1940s and 1950s. Her quilts tell the story of the people and natural surroundings she saw every day. The Arizona History Museum recently acquired The Saguaro Harvest. Noted quilt historian Carolyn O’Bagy Davis, who spearheaded the fundraising effort to acquire the quilt, will talk about her research on Goldie Tracy Richmond.
Please join us for a special First Friday program August 5 from 5-7pm. In addition to the talk and quilt viewing, beverages and light refreshments will be served. Please RSVP at (520) 628-5774 or email@example.com by August 1st.
