Hanson Dialogues is Talking About the Lack of Diversity in Hollywood and More with Special Guest: Film & TV Producer Moctesuma Esparza

Hanson Dialogues, the UA Hanson Film Institute’s series of compelling conversations–live on stage with top talents and creators in the Film and Television Industry–debuts this April at the Fox Tucson Theatre. This series of dialogues will be moderated by Tucson native, Emmy Award winning producer and humorist Peter Murrieta. Murrieta will talk with some of the most influential producers, directors and actors working today. Audience members will be will encouraged to contribute their own comments and questions. Created to enlighten and entertain, Hanson Dialogues will launch with guest Latino entrepreneur, film producer, and activist Moctesuma Esparza. The first conversation will tackle the persistent issue of lack of diversity in Hollywood. As the producer of many notable films, including The Milagro Beanfield War, directed by Robert Redford, and Selena, starring Jennifer Lopez in her breakout role, Mr. Esparza will share a behind-the-scenes look at his storied career. A participant in the 1960s-era movement for the civil rights and equality of Mexican Americans, Mr. Esparza is committed to educating Latinos in the business of media production.
