A performance in honor of “Huitzilopochtli” (New Beginnings) by the Nauhi Ollin Aztec Dancers.

Date: Saturday February 18th & Sunday February 19th, 2012

Times: Saturday: 1:00 PM & 3:00 PM – SUNDAY: 12:00 PM & 2:00 PM

Location: Old Town Artisans courtyard 201 N. Court.

Event Description: A performance in honor of Huitzilopochtli “The Hummingbird on the Left,” one of the most important gods to the Mexica of Tenochtitlan. He is best known as The Great Teacher and the Sun, though he is far more complex than that. The most important of the traditions and customs is not only the exterior, but its meaning. He appears in several myths as a brave guardian of those under his protection.

Also on Saturday: Tom Short Tucson Musician performing and selling his CD’s.
