Nationally acclaimed jazz artist Ben Siems of Minneapolis is coming to Tucson, AZ for a series of shows between mid-January and mid-March 2012. Siems is best known as the leader, composer and guitarist of The Willie August Project, a jazz trio whose CDs have been featured on over sixty radio stations in North America, Europe and Australia, including charting as the #1 New Addition on XM Satellite Radio Real Jazz in January 2006.

Although clearly influenced by jazz guitar icons like Wes Montgomery and Pat Metheny, Siems has developed a unique and recognizable style. Modern and inventive, his music is nevertheless extremely accessible and easy on the ears, thanks to the naturally flowing lyricism of his playing, which inspired Cadence magazine to rave that, “Siems is a fountain of muted melody, with a masterful grasp of the guitaristic art.”
