The Sixth Annual TMC Meet Me Downtown 5k Night Run and Walk takes place on Saturday night, June 2nd with a new staging location of Sixth Avenue, at the Children’s Museum. Pricing is $25 through May 25th, then it goes to $30 through race night, June 2nd. Produced by the Southern Arizona Roadrunners, the 3.1 mile run and walk raises funds for several local charities, including the Children’s Museum, Imagine Greater Tucson, Greater Tucson Leadership, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Fox Theatre, and Child and Family Resources.

The 5k Night Run is the first leg of the 2nd Annual Gabe Zimmerman Triple Crown, a three-race series to memorialize Gabe Zimmerman, who lost his life in the 2011 shooting of Gabby Giffords. Free snacks from Sunflower Market, Food Truck Round-Up on hand, and a concert by LeeAnn Savage and a performance from Elemental Artistry. All participants receive a free t-shirt.
