As the designated local arts agency for the City of Tucson and Pima County, the Tucson Pima Arts Council (TPAC) provides arts and cultural development services through direct funding, technical assistance, commissions, and contracts to artists and arts organizations.

Through a range of programming, the organization encourages neighborhood, youth, and community involvement in the arts. It provides employment opportunities for artists and crucial support for arts organizations while enhancing educational opportunities and promoting heritage-based artistic traditions.

TPAC is involved in developing and facilitating professional development and marketing opportunities for the artistic community through initiatives that involve local, regional, and national partners. The organization also coordinates research projects, advocacy efforts, and cultural development studies that underscore the vitality of arts and culture activity throughout the region.

The Tucson Pima Arts Council is firmly dedicated to strengthening the region’s cultural vitality. It has worked to position itself as a leader in the development of strategic initiatives that engage the community, contribute to the economic development of the region, and foster collaborative partnerships that support the growth and integrity of cultural assets.
