Club Crawl will fill Downtown streets on October 1

September 22, 2011

The Tucson Weekly’s Fall Club Crawl is set to enliven Downtown with 90 bands on 30 stages of music the night of October 1.

Club Crawl gates open at 7 p.m.

It’s Tucson’s largest music festival covering more than eight blocks of the Entertainment District.

There will be seven outdoor stages and numerous venues downtown off Congress Street and on 4th Avenue.

Venues include Rialto Theatre, Hotel Congress, Vaudeville, The District, O’Malley’s, The Hut, Sky Bar, Screening Room, Sharks, Sacred Machine Museum, The Hub, Downtown Kitchen & Cocktails, Enoteca, La Cocina, Red Room at the Grill, Iguana Café, Cushing Street,  Casa Vicente, Sparkroot, Maynard’s, Delectables, Chocolate Iquana, Café Passe, and Martin’s.

Tucson Weekly’s Club Crawl is Tucson’s live and local music festival, which also features a nice sampling of national and regional act touring acts.  The end product is an event that celebrates everything great about Tucson, yet introduces our market to several reputable and emerging bands.

Highlights of Club Crawl include five acts from the Los Angeles area including alternative hard rockers, Kicking Harold, blues harmonica sensation John “Juke” Logan, skate punk legends Agression, and dance party favorites Lexicon Don and Fabian.

From El Paso will be the electronica sounds of Bulletproof Tiger. Now hailing from Decatur, Ala. (via Gainesville, Florida and Austin, Texas), is the Southern Rock of Kenneth Brian.  From Phoenix will be the high-powered garage sounds of The Love Me Nots.  And fellow Phoenicians Snake, Snake, Snakes and Gospel Claws will be playing at Hotel Congress.

Some of the confirmed local acts are Greyhound Soul, Crosscut Saw, Key Ingredients of African Soul, The Van Dykes, Salvador Duran, RCougar, Cosmic Slop, 8 Minutes To Burn, Funky Bonz, Al Perry, Tryst, Tom Walbank, The Modeens, Spirit Familia, Amosphere, Skitn and The Jits.
