Holiday Bazaar Returns to Mercado San Agustin

December 13, 2011

The 4thannual Holiday Bazaar returns to Mercado San Augustin from December 16 to 18.

Mercado San Agustin hosts its fourth Holiday Bazaar this weekend.

Market hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. The Mercado is located at 100 S. Avenida del Convento at West Congress Street.

Showcasing Tucson’s diversity through small business, you can expect to see artisan foods, children’s clothing and toys, jewelry, specialty gifts, and more.

In addition to the best holiday shopping in Tucson, market goers can expect live music and performances daily. Kids will enjoy the life size gingerbread house and photo-ops with Santa Claus, while adults can shop at the various artists’ booths and merchants of the Mercado.

Shoppers can take pleasure in the variety of traditional holiday foods such as tamales, buñuelos, and champurrado. Set under bright, beautiful lights, this bustling market will celebrate our community’s unique shared history and culture.

For the past four years, the Mercado’s vision has been to provide an innovative avenue for local artists, cooks, merchants, and entrepreneurs to harness the rush of commerce during this season, and to create a holiday shopping tradition that brings community members together to celebrate goodwill and rich heritage.
