Tucson Farmers’ Market Downtown Will Celebrate First Anniversary

November 1, 2012

The Tucson Farmers’ Market Downtown on Saturdays is celebrating its one year anniversary on Saturday, Nov. 10. To acknowledge the event, they will have a tasting table with dishes prepared with market ingredients, a raffle for market giveaways, live music, and a variety of selections by all your favorite vendors!  The market is located at Maynard’s Market & Kitchen on Toole Avenue next to the Historic Train Depot and is open from 9am-1pm.

The Tucson Farmers’ Markets are thriving with the season’s finest and freshest produce available from the surrounding area farms, bringing local produce directly to the consumer.  The market features over 20 farmers, bakeries, nurseries and ranchers from Tucson, Aravaipa, Willcox, Benson and Catalina.

Complete details regarding the market anniversary can be obtained by contacting Manish Shah or Roxanne Garcia at 882-2157.

The Tucson Farmers’ Market features local small businesses selling local and seasonal produce, fresh baked goods, custom blended teas, fresh roasted organic and fair trade coffees, range fed meats, eggs, gourmet soups and sauces.
