Pennington Street Block Party Puts Youth Center Stage on April 11

524775_10151568267954153_455897446_nCity High School invites the Tucson community to the 6th annual Pennington Street Block Party on Friday, April 11 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Join us as we launch Global Youth Service Day in Southern Arizona with a lively Downtown street party!

Pennington Street will be closed from Stone to Scott to create a festive and family-friendly environment. Enjoy live music, dramatic performances, art installations, food trucks, games and jumping castle, and dozens of interactive booths with activities and exhibits for all ages. Join in the fun as young people engage and entertain the crowds with their skills, knowledge, and talent.

In addition to City High School students and staff, exhibitors and performers include youth and adults from 40 different arts, fitness, and education organizations. For a complete list of participants, visit the City High School website.

386800_10151568267174153_1652211122_nThis year we welcome Mayor Jonathan Rothschild who will present the Ray Davies Student Service Award to kick off the event at 4:00 p.m. We will also mark City High School’s 10th birthday with a cupcake celebration at 5:30 p.m.
