The 44-unit affordable housing project at 383 S Stone Ave across from the Police station was completed at the end of February. Portions of the original historic property remain and will be used for the office and lobby areas. A new 4-story addition has been constructed at the rear of the property to allow for covered parking on the ground floor. The project includes a 658 sqft one-bedroom option or a 828 sqft two bedroom. The site also has a secure parking garage as well as a community viewing deck of the downtown skyline.

The Downtown Motor Hotel designed by renowned architect Josias Joesler was built in 1941 as a single-story hotel for travelers.
