Historic Pima County Courthouse

May 3, 2017

When bids came in low to build the a new Pima County courthouse in 1928, the Board of Supervisors used the extra money to order tile for the 100-foot-tall dome.

Under Construction:

Pima County is currently renovating the building that will become the future home of the Western National Parks Association, Visit Tucson, the UA Mineral Museum, the Arizona Historical Society and space for the January 8th Memorial. Listed on the National Register of Historical Places, the exterior of the courthouse building is being repainted to match the original color.

Exterior improvements will be completed in the early summer and interior renovations will be completed early 2018.
