The first phase of renovations are complete as Arizona nonprofit CITY Center for Collaborative learning renovates the historic Howard & Stofft Stationery building (37 E Pennington) into a modern collaborative learning center for its students. The center, which neighbors City High School, expands the downtown campus and adds significant additional space for innovative teaching and learning. The nonprofit started a capital campaign this year to raise $500k for additional improvements (Phase II), like updates to the elevator and renovating the entire second floor. Total cost of Phase one was approximately $600k and was completed in March of 2018. No timeline has been set for Phase II.
