Rialto Theatre Renovation

The proposed floor plan of the historic, Rialto Theatre, which opened in 1920 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (Floor Plan and Rendering/Rialto Theatre).



The Rialto Theatre Foundation is raising money for improvements through a new capital campaign called, I Rock the Rialto. The goal of the campaign is $1,000,000 for renovations to the theatre and its facilities including restroom expansion and improvements, re-designing the main bar, tiering the auditorium floor, disability accessibility, upgrading the HVAC system, improve lighting and safety and improving the overall aesthetic appearance of the interior. According to a 2017 Eller College of Management study, the Rialto Theatre has a direct annual impact of $11.26 million on the Downtown Tucson community.

More than $700,000 has been raised so far. Improvements are expected to begin by the end of this summer 2018. To make a donation or pledge, visit the I Rock the Rialto Capital Campaign page.
