Under Construction:

Greystar Real Estate Partners (acquired EdR), is the developer behind a transit-oriented and mixed-use complex at a prominent corner on Historic Fourth Avenue. Union on 6th will be a primarily residential complex consisting of 255 market rate apartments designed to attract young professionals and students that want access to the abundance of food, shopping, and nightlife when they step out their door. Studios, one-, two- and three- bedroom units will be offered. The complex will have amenities for residents such as a pool, fitness center, parking garage and access to the Sun Link streetcar. The development also includes 7,500 sq ft of retail space set aside specifically for local businesses thanks to a community benefits agreement that gives preferences to locally owned businesses over national chains – an agreement between the developer and the Historic Fourth Avenue Coalition in an effort to keep the local flavor of the district as it sees increased development. The project spans a couple blocks between 4th and 5th Avenues along 6th Street with varying heights of two, three, five and seven stories (frontage along 4th Avenue is two and three stories).

Chasse Building team (Tucson based) is the general contractor. Architects on the project are VLFA Architecture + Interior (Colorado based) and a.23 Studios (Tucson based).

Existing structures have been demolished and site preparation is underway. The project is expected to be complete summer of 2021. For more information on this project, visit Chasse Building Team’s website. View additional renderings here.
