75 Broadway

February 27, 2020

75 Broadway will be the newest class A office space in the heart of Downtown Tucson across from the TEP headquarters along Broadway Blvd (Originally proposed rendering/Swaim & Associates).

In September of 2017, Rio Nuevo sent out a request for proposals for a mixed-use development at the current Pima County owned surface parking lot along Broadway Blvd between Scott Avenue and 6th Avenue. In October of 2018 J.E. Dunn, a Kansas City, Missouri developer, submitted a proposal for a 20-story 250,000 sqft mixed-use tower. According to Rio Nuevo, J.E. Dunn wanted to transfer its ownership share to its co-developer Dabdoub Schwabe Properties.  Now Dabdoub Schwabe Properties is looking to partner with a Boston-based lender for the multi-use project that would include retail, 500 parking spaces, office space and residential. The new mixed-use development could be up to 20 stories high.

Excavation and archaeological study was completed by Logan Simpson in February 2019. Rio Nuevo will hear from the developers at its March 2020 board meeting for updates.
