Under Construction:

Fayth Hospitality is developing a 199-room dual branded hotel, at 141 S. Stone Avenue, across the street from St. Augustine Cathedral. Hampton Inn and Home2 Suites, both Hilton brands, will occupy a new 6-story building along Stone Avenue. According to Rio Nuevo, the Hampton Inn will have 76 rooms while the extended stay branded Home2 Suites will have 123. Rio Nuevo approved site-specific sales tax rebates of up to $7.5 million and a 25-year GPLET. At the April Rio Nuevo Board Meeting, the incentive package was slightly adjusted to provide the developer with a cash diffusion to relieve some of the unanticipated utility infrastructure costs.

Fayth Hospitality held an official groundbreaking on August 27, 2019 with construction expected to take 16-18 months. The developer is hoping to have the project complete by the first quarter of 2021, in time for the annual Gem and Mineral show.
