Artistic Entrepreneur Workshops for Teens

February 18 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

| Free

Are you an teen artist looking to start or build your business? Would you like to learn strategies to turn creative work into a future career?

The Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona, in partnership with the Pima County Public Library and artist and entrepreneur, Björgvin Benediktsson, are excited to present a specially-curated workshop that will focus on a 5-point strategy to give artists a blueprint for business success.

We welcome all types of artists, creatives, designers, musicians and writers from beginners to full-timers.

PARTICIPANTS WILL:

1. Analyze long-term goals and create strategies to reach them – putting systems in place for success and carving out time to grow your business.

2. Learn short-term tactics to reduce busywork and increase focus on creativity – productivity tools, automated systems, etc.

3. Build a professional presence both on and offline – website, social media, email marketing, professional business cards, resume, and portfolio.

4. Present consistent content and content updates on a dynamic website platform.

5. Diversify income streams and building up entrepreneurial customer base.

At the end of the workshop, artists should have a concrete plan of action to take their art to the next level. You’ll receive detailed documents with the tools and techniques discussed in the workshop, in addition to a 30-min Q & A session.
