Biodiversity Group: Living on the Edge

August 2, 2016 - August 31, 2016

| Free

Photography by Biodiversity PEEK youth displayed on the wooden towers August 2-31, 2016, during regular library hours.

Living on the Edge is an unusual exhibition of wildlife photographs taken by Biodiversity PEEK youths from the impoverished coastal province of Manabí, Ecuador before the recent earthquake struck the region.  It consists of handmade frames and facts about the surprising images of biodiversity from this rare and imperiled ecosystem.  The Tucson-based, international, citizen-science organization, The Biodiversity Group has been working with local citizens of Ecuador, Vietnam, Barbuda, and now Tucson to discover, document, and preserve the overlooked life that surrounds and sustains us all.
