Children’s Adventure Hour at the Presidio Museum

March 4 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

| $5

The Presidio Museum welcomes young children to explore history! Children ages 3 – 8 are invited to visit the Museum for a new Children’s Adventure Hour.  During the Adventure Hour, an education specialist will guide children through a tour of the Presidio Museum designed just for them. In addition, the program will include a demonstration of where cochineal comes from, (the red-dye that was an important trade commodity for early settlers) and a story. The Hour will also include a “daily life” hands-on activity, which could include: pot gardening, laundry the “old fashioned way,” making clay bead bracelets, making wool bracelets, tortilla making, or colonial-period games. The children will then enjoy a coloring activity to encourage participants to express what they have just learned.

Children’s Adventure Hour will be held March 4, at 10:30 am, and April 1 at 10:30 am. The program is included in the admission fees of $5 for adults, $1 children ages 6-14, and free for children under 5, but participants should register ahead of time to insure they have a spot at www.TucsonPresidio.com.

The Museum will register multiple families up to 20 children and an unlimited number of adults. Family groups must provide at least one adult for every three children, and adults will be engaged in the group for the duration of the visit.
