Climate Change – Let’s Talk

July 29 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

| Free

Join Nancy Petersen for an engaging presentation on climate change science, impacts and action. If you’ve ever wondered how rain bombs, Paris, and 2 degrees Celsius are related, this talk is for you! This presentation coincides with the release of An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power, the movie sequel a decade later from the original movie, An Inconvenient Truth, that started the national conversation.

According to a Yale Climate Opinion Survey (2016), less than half the population of the United States ever talks about climate change. Come find out why we should be talking about climate change and what we can do beyond talking.

Nancy Petersen is a Climate Reality Leader trained in 2017 by the Climate Reality Project founded by Al Gore. She has worked over 25 years in the environmental field, currently at the University of Arizona on the intersection of environmental and social justice.
