Edcamp Tucson 2/11/17

February 11 @ 8:30 am - 3:00 pm

| Free

Calling all Tucson teachers, school leaders, and community partners who are passionate about what they do and want to share ideas, questions, skills, and enthusiasm about teaching & learning with others. Join us for the 4th convening of ‘Edcamp Tucson’ on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 8:30am-3:00pm!

Edcamp partcipants will arrive at 8:30am for check-in, breakfast, and networking.  At 9:00 am we will convene as a large group and participants will generate topics for small group discussion (drawn from their own interests/passions).  Topics can be framed as a question, an idea, a story, an opinion, a doubt, etc.  Participants will share these topics with the large group and then post their topic on a large session board.  Once all of the topics are posted on the session board in their own time & location slot on the board – we will be ready to be begin the sessions.

There will be three, session time blocks during the event; two before lunch and one after lunch.  Typically, there are 4-6 different session options during each time block.  After lunch, before the 3rd session block begins, we will all participate in the always-popular ‘Tech Slam’ where the entire Edcamp will share the latest technologies/websites/apps that are transforming their individual practice.  After the third session block we will close Edcamp Tucson with possibly the biggest graffiti wall, ‘Chalk Talk’ you have ever experienced.

Edcamp Tucson is hosted by CITY Center for Collaborative Learning. We are excited to have Tucson Values Teachers and CommunityShare join us as co-convenors again.

The event will take place at the downtown campus of City High School and Paulo Freire Freedom School, 47 East Pennington Street, Tucson, AZ 85701.  Participation is free but online registration is required prior to the event at www.edcamptucson4.eventbrite.com.
