Edward Curtis Legends Exhibition

February 1 @ 8:00 pm - March 1 @ 8:00 pm

Event Navigation

Come and celebrate the Vision of Edward Curtis through the eyes of Roger Pike and renown European Artist/Painter Ana Grigoriev in honoring and preserving the culture and traditions of the native nations who have for over 500 years been misrepresented and ignored in our Society. It is now in our time to bring back the image and the spirit of the native nations through art and a simple interaction with the native people. Come support the native nations and bring back the humanity in all of us.

Roger and Ana have transformed oil and digital paintings from famous photographer Edward Curtis who in 1906 was financed by banker and industrialist J.P. Morgan to produce a series of photographs focusing on the everyday lives of Native Americans. Curtis would go on to produce 222 complete sets of photographs in a 20 volume series, plus written documentation about the native tribes.
