41.3 Clay Animals, 2015, clay, 0.5x2

The clay sculptures of Emma Faircloth will be on display during regular library hours at the Joel D. Valdez Main Library throughout the month of February. In Emma’s own words:

I have taken pictures of my very favorite clay charms. I have made at least 200 figures. Each charm has its own unique feature. For example, all of my figures are mini. I enjoy making animals such as birds, dogs, horses, and more. However, my first miniatures were food: McDonald’s Happy meals, pizza, burgers, fries and desserts. I also made ice cream sandwiches, pies and cakes. I like to make many different objects. I have made a bird necklace for my grandma, parrots, and the man on the Pringles can!
