Main Library Book Club

May 3 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

| Free

The Main Library Book Club meets the first Thursday of the month at noon.

Something different this month: April is a non-fiction grab bag. We will discuss our April books at our May 3, 2018, meeting. We have selected 20 books on the topic of consciousness and each participant will pick a book to read and report back to the group. We will have a general discussion on the topics the books bring up at our May 3, 2018 meeting.

Don’t worry if you miss the April meeting. There will be books at the first floor information desk for you to choose from and check out. Come by the library and check out one of our books!

About The Science of Consciousness convention

The Science of Consciousness (‘TSC’) is an interdisciplinary conference emphasizing broad and rigorous approaches to all aspects of the study and understanding of conscious awareness. Topical areas include neuroscience, philosophy, psychology, biology, quantum physics, meditation, altered states, machine consciousness, the nature of reality, culture and experiential phenomenology.

Held annually since 1994, the conference is hosted by the Center for Consciousness Studies at the University of Arizona, and alternates yearly between Tucson, Arizona and various locations around the world. Information and video from the 2017 TSC conference in San Diego may be found at these sites:
