Special History and Heritage Wine Tasting Tour

December 18, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

| $65

Our very special Tucson History & Libation Walking Tour in November was so well received, we are going to offer it again on Sunday, December 18, 2016 starting at 10 AM in the Courtyard of the Mercado on West Congress.

This is your opportunity to see 1870’s Tucson through the eyes of saloon keeper, George Hand who left us a most insightful diary. We will be hopping on and off the Modern Streetcar, so the walking is a leisurely 2 miles with plenty of places to sit and relax along the way.

Heirloom Food & Libation From The Spanish Era

Among other delights, we will again offer wine and food tastings from the Spanish era 300 years ago. No, the wine and food are NOT 300-years-old. But the heirloom fruit is from Mission Garden where they grow descendants of grapes and pomegranates brought to this region by Father Kino in the late 1690’s. And the food tastings are from the same ingredients used by the soldiers and settlers at the Presidio from 1776. So you will be tasting what they tasted.
