When Europeans arrived in the Americas, two cultures that had never interacted before were introduced to crops, foods, animals, diseases, and ways of life neither had ever experienced. We will explore the influence the Spanish and indigenous people had on each other. At the Presidio, we believe that "living history" is the most entertaining and most impactful form of education for our young visitors- and their families! The program includes: **A tour of the Presidio grounds the Presidio barracks and original foundation wall, the millstone and the mural **A blacksmithing or tinsmithing activity **An interactive activity that incorporates a lesson about Tucson’s history and culture.  Participants may arrive any time between 10 am and 1 pm to participate.
