Parade of Lights


Entry Info

The Downtown Tucson Partnership welcomes your participation in the 24th Annual Parade of Lights & Festival!



Once your online application is received, we will review it and contact you with any questions or concerns we may have. Once approved, you will receive a link to pay your entry fee. You will receive your staging information via telephone and email before or during the week of the Parade. If your entry is rejected, you will be notified immediately.

All entries are eligible for cash prizes. A panel of guest judges will make their selection during the parade. Winners will be posted online and will be notified via email. The categories are:

  • Grand Marshal’s Award (Best Entry) $500 Prize
  • Pioneer Award (Best Historical or Cultural Theme) $250 Prize
  • Holiday Spirit Award (Best Use of Lights) $250 Prize
  • Harmony Award (Best Musical Group) $250 Prize
  • Bright Horizon Award (Best Youth Group) $250 Prize

Judging criteria is based on the following elements:

    The overall effective presentation of the float. Its presentation as it will appear on the parade route. Beauty, creativity and use of lights.
    The craftsmanship in the float creation. Detail in design and creation of float objects with the effective use of colors and materials including the use of lights.
    The creativity in the use of lights.
    The creativeness and originality in the float design concept and the use of lights.
